Datex is a dual layer material, consisting out of a supporting layer of stretchy polyester / elastan with a top layer of 100% chlorined natural latex. It has the looks of rubber, but can be stitched and isn’t as vulnerable as rubber . Another advantage is that you can be easily put on, without the aid of talcum powder or silicones. Since it slides much easier over the skin, it’s a good material to make hoods from.
Mister B’s nice and tight fitting premium grade Datex Hoods will give you a wonderful confined feeling; your head is comfortably encased in this slick and smooth black material, without being so heavy and extreme as heavy rubber or leather hoods are.

Available in several combinations: completely closed, with eyes only, with mouth only, with eyes and mouth and, last but not least: as cocksucker hood with big mouth opening – ideal if you’re an oral expert.
Can be machine washed at low temperature.
I love the tight feel of these Datex hoods, not uncomfortable at all, feels like a second skin. They wash really well at 30c as well, doesn't matter how messy it gets, throw it in the washing machine at the end of a session!
Fits extremely well. External texture of the fabric is nice. Internally its a bit like wearing costume shop PVC with the fabric backing. I understand its there to add strength to the latex and avoid tearing and I can see the point to that. Latex is a very tactile experience and it tended to leave me a little disappointed that the hood is almost for looks only. The other thing I'd be remiss to ignore if the small. It is extremely overpowering and thus far no amount of washing and airing has been able to cure it. I did contact SAX who in turn contacted Mr B who assured me the smell is here to stay and is possibly due to the bonding of the latex to the backing (maybe an adhesive). It's bad enough that Ive only managed to wear the hood once and I am fortunate enough to have ordered one with a mouth hole as the smell was strong enough to have me dry retching in no time. This is one that looks good, but the positives generally end there. If you want latex, save the hassle and buy latex.
