November Sax Girls Gallery
Giger, Franzetta, Boris, Surayama and numerous forgotten Victorian engineers, have all played a major part in the inspiration of my work in one form or another.
Unlike most of my contemporaries I use 3D software to create my images, I have been accused by a small number of purists that my work is not art; I disagree as art is a process of the mind, and the computer is just a tool that enables that process, just the same as a brush or pencil.
I try to illustrate thoughts and feelings rather than the usual traditional erotic images that permeate every corner of modern day society. Our thoughts are often far more extreme than could ever be humanly possible, and all our minds have dark recesses in which I like to throw a little light.
Im often asked why use machines? Why not! The machine makes the ideal catalyst, as the pleasure can go on forever and in our minds we wish it would, plus the machines make a sharp contrast in every way to the human form and can often amplify the message embedded in my work.
With the exception of my early work, most of my images are from animations, but I never embarked on being an animator, in fact it all came about by accident, I discovered that I could save various poses by using the animate button, one day I accidentally rendered out a sequence of frames, there must have been around six or seven poses that linked together, you can well imagine the look on my face when I played back the sequence. If only I hadnt used the animate button, I suppose I would have a proper job now.
I first exhibited my work at Erotica 2001 and I was amazed by the response, since then my work has featured in Skin Two, Desire, Digital Beauties and I was even shocked to discover I had been nominated as Erotic artist of the year 2002.Unlike conventional artists not only do I sell signed prints but I also sell my art in the form of multimedia erotic books on CDs that I distribute at shows or from my website, the CDs contain erotic stories, illustrations and animations, each disc can take over two years produce, the discs are proving to be very popular especially with couples. There has also been a great interest in bespoke animated loops for clubs; these can be projected onto backdrops etc, surprisingly
Ministry of sound were my first client.
My work is also being taken seriously by the adult channels and Im in the process of producing a pilot for an adult networking company which I hope will be screened later on in the year.
